'Special guest' performances have been promised

Salt and Tar, on Washington Parade, Bootle, is a brand new outdoor events venue offering street food, bars, live entertainment and cultural events. Major stars will be coming to the North Liverpool town to perform at Bootle’s Music Weekender. The festival will take place from August 16 to August 24.

Speaking in January, Cllr Marion Atkinson, leader of Sefton Council, said: “I was already thrilled at having the opportunity to announce Tom Jones but adding Status Quo to the Music Weekender is another massive achievement for Salt and Tar.’’ Plenty of vendors will be at the venue to sell a wide range of street food, with options from The Bus Yard, Big Kahuna Street Food and Ginger Cat Coffee all available alongside others.
