Will Young has described having to pull out of Strictly in 2016 as 'the hardest point' of his entire career.
'I love dancing, I trained in ballet and contemporary. I was actually really excited about doing the show but just leaving the house going 20 yards to the corner shop was hard. He explained: 'If I did it now, I would dance with a male partner. I don't think it was an option . I don't think it was a conversation, no.'
'It broke my heart. I was 22 and I would hear people , and since they didn't like the show, they didn't like me!' 'There's a great moment when you've been doing it awhile and you suddenly think, 'Oh I've been doing this a while now and I'm STILL doing it'. Looking back, he claimed to the publication that some staff would throw children 'against radiators' and rip out the only phone they had to contact their parents or ChildLine, and would also leer at them whilst getting changed.
