A TV show based on one of the best sci-fi novels of all time is in the works

The project was first announced by in February of this year but appears to be moving forward as the streaming service on Tuesday announced that Callum Turner and Mona Lisa Overdrive .

While released without much fanfare, Neuromancer quickly became a word-of-mouth hit and is now considered one of the earliest and best known works in the cyberpunk genre. It has been cited as a major influence on the movie The Matrix and as having popularised certain terms such as ‘cyberspace’. Prior to the Apple TV+ announcement, a movie adaptation of Neuromancer had been in the works for decades but never came to fruition.

The streaming service has said their take on Neuromancer will be created by Graham Roland and JD Dillard , with musician Drake and Gibson himself onboard as executive producers.
