Lewis Jetta returns to Sydney as 10yo daughter has ‘huge 16-hour operation’

Former AFL speedster Lewis Jetta is back in Sydney as his 10-year-old daughter recovers from 16-hour surgery. Jetta’s daughter, Daisy, had the lengthy operation after suffering from pancreatitis . Jetta was originally from Western Australia but was drafted by the Sydney Swans in 2009. The electrifying winger played in the Swans’ 2012 grand final victory but joined West Coast for the 2016 season after 127 games in the red and white.

The club also shared pictures of Jetta and his family with current Sydney stars, including gun midfielder and former captain Luke Parker and injury-cursed key forward Sam Reid. Both Reid and Parker played with Jetta in the 2012 grand final and are the only current players from that premiership team remaining on the club’s list. The Swans also provided an update on Jetta’s daughter after the surgery. “After a huge 16-hour operation we are pleased to report Daisy is now recovering,” the club said.
