Geelong have welcomed back superstar captain Patrick Dangerfield and key forward Tom Hawkins for Saturday night’s blockbuster against Brisbane. Experienced defender Jake Kolodjashnij also returns for the unbeaten Cats as they prepare for their biggest challenge of the season. Among the outs are veteran pair Zac Tuohy and Rhys Stanley, who have both been managed. The Lions have made just one change, with Jarryd Lyons replacing Zac Bailey, who will be sidelined for at least the next month.
Collingwood veteran Scott Pendlebury has been named to face Port Adelaide after a fitness test on his broken ribs, while the Power will be without Charlie Dixon. Elsewhere, Fremantle big man Sean Darcy will make his AFL return in Saturday’s western derby against West Coast, but Eagles flyer Liam Ryan won’t be risked just yet. Darcy hasn’t featured at AFL level since round 18 last year, with an ankle injury ending his 2023 campaign early before being hampered by a knee problem over the summer.
