Greg Rutherford has shared a health update with fans following his gruesome Dancing on Ice injury. The Olympian posted photographs of his scars after undergoing surgery on his stomach.
He's since undergone surgery and has been keeping fans updated with his recovery on social media. Greg's latest update included photos of his stomach and scars, as he marked four weeks post-operation. Greg went on to share his hopes of returning to the ice rink in the future and his plans to return to training as soon as he can. He added: "I can’t tense my abs properly still, but that’s coming. I also managed to put a ton of weight on since the op, so as soon as I’m ready I’ll be training to get myself trim again… maybe even back on skates."
At the time of his injury, professional ice skater Vanessa, 36, shared on Instagram that they had to rush to the hospital. She wrote: "Unfortunately Greg has sustained a significant injury this morning at rehearsals and won't be able to perform tonight. We are on our way to the hospital for Greg to get examined further and receive the treatment he needs."
