Former Australian Idol judge Meghan Trainor has opened up about the birth of her second child — and how Australia inspired her unique choice of name. The 30-year-old Made You Look singer was in Australia for several months with her husband, actor Daryl Sabara, as she filmed the 2023 season of the popular Channel 7 singing show.

She then noted that her baby boy had one of the most Aussie names you could possibly imagine — Barry Bruce. “He’s my little Australian baby and I’m so happy,” she said. Trainor said the inspiration for her son’s name came from the animated children’s film Finding Nemo, which is set in Australia.
