Five boys are accused of leading police in a wild chase across Melbourne after allegedly embarking on a series of robberies while armed with machetes. The group allegedly committed a “number of armed robberies and cigarette burglaries” across Melbourne on Monday and Tuesday night, Victoria Police said.

Police tracked the stolen car using an Air Wing helicopter, as it drove “erratically and dangerously” across suburbs including Glen Iris, Camberwell, Richmond, Collingwood, and the Melbourne CBD.
