Five boys are accused of leading police in a wild chase across Melbourne after allegedly embarking on a series of robberies while armed with machetes. The group allegedly committed a “number of armed robberies and cigarette burglaries” across Melbourne on Monday and Tuesday night, Victoria Police said.
Teens have been arrested after a wild Melbourne police chase. They were then spotted at about 10.25pm on Tuesday driving through Boronia near Mountain Highway in a black BMW allegedly stolen from Footscray last week. Police tracked the stolen car using an Air Wing helicopter, as it drove “erratically and dangerously” across suburbs including Glen Iris, Camberwell, Richmond, Collingwood, and the Melbourne CBD.
