The SA premier has shared his condolences with the South Australian family of Ashlee Good, who was killed while protecting her baby from a knife-wielding killer during the stabbing attack in Sydney’s eastern suburbs at the weekend. Six people died and 12 were seriously injured when Queenslander Joel Cauchi went on a killing spree at Westfield Bondi Junction on Saturday afternoon.
“From the whole community in South Australia, I’d like to pass on our sympathies to those that have lost their lives yesterday in Bondi Junction.” Cauchi was shot dead by a police officer after refusing to drop the knife and lunging at her. Westfield Bondi Junction and surrounding streets remained closed on Monday. Good’s family released a statement, saying they were “struggling to come to terms with what has happened”.
