Kyle Sandilands became emotional as he described how a family member was attacked by killer Joel Cauchi, during his terrifying frenzy at Westfield Bondi Junction on Saturday. The KIIS FM star revealed on The Kyle & Jackie O show on Monday morning that his wife’s relative Yvonne Wineberg was one of the first women targeted during the attack.
“He said every 50 foot there was another person laying in a pile of blood — all the way down the mall,” Sandilands said of the horrific scenes. NSW Police identified Cauchi as the killer on Sunday. Cauchi, 40, was fatally shot by a police officer at the shopping centre on Saturday night, minutes after he fatally stabbed six people and injured 12 others. He had only recently moved to Sydney from Queensland.
