Bridget Jones cast now 20 years after first movie amid Rene Zelwegger new movie

The wine-loving, self-critical, diet-obsessed, eternally single gal we all adored, is making a comeback. Rene Zelwegger is set to return alongside her co-stars Hugh Grant and Colin Firth for the highly-anticipated fourth instalment of the beloved movie Bridget Jones's Diary.

In 2010, the 54 year old took a break from the limelight and had a six-year break from acting. The leading lady triumphantly returned for the third instalment of the Bridget Jones saga Bridget Jones's Baby. Now 63, Colin continues to impress, featuring in the suave spy series Kingsman and the epic war drama 1917, sharing the screen with Richard Madden and Benedict Cumberbatch.

"But I think they're going to go ahead and do it without Daniel. The book's excellent, by the way, but the script is completely different - well, the script as I last saw it a few years ago." In 2018, the esteemed actor tied the knot with Swedish TV producer Anna Eberstein, who is the mother to three of his five children.

He has also made appearances in X-Men: First Class , Underworld: Blood Wars , and Atomic Blonde .
