The Village nightclub is set to reopen in Lancaster this summer under the same name.The investment group, which bought the building and closed the Village in December 2022, hired Rich Ruoff, a familiar name to the Lancaster music scene to be the general manager.Ruoff founded the now-closed Chameleon Club and runs the Roots and Blues Festival.He said there will be some renovations, 'painting, a new sound system and security system, equipment, freshened up.

' But it retains much of its old vibe, including the dance floor, which lights up.Ruoff is also putting in the Lizard Lounge, which will feature a smaller stage and bar.The Village had played host to well-known national music acts, including Arlo Guthrie and local bands. The Boss, Bruce Springsteen, once played an impromptu set on stage.The Patounas and Photis families originally owned the Village and operated it for about 70 years.
