Universal's international distribution president Veronika Kwan Vandenberg said it has become clear the industry "can't rely on the films that have traditionally been exceptionally strong in the last 20 years." Because these trends are typically organic in origin, it is "an incredibly hard thing to do," said Kwan Vandenberg.
