Indonesian singer Melitha Sidabutar dies at 23, 4 years after her twin sister died of similar heart problemssinger Melitha Sidabutar died on April 8 at the age of 23. The news was announced by her music label, Impact Music Indonesia.There were initially rumours that Melitha had died of suicide. However, her brother has since clarified that Melitha had suffered a heart failure and that she died in the hospital after an unsuccessful resuscitation.

“I really love my younger sister. My whole family misses her very much. I don’t really know how to answer everyone’s questions, we’re not good at expressing ourselves,” said Melitha’s brother. The twins, Melisha was born two minutes before Melitha, were known to be very close. Melitha once spoke about the pain of losing Melisha in a podcast, revealing that she would often imagine Melisha to still be alive, and her death, just a nightmare.

Never did anyone imagine that Melitha would also pass from similar health issues just four years later.The twins first rose to prominence after auditioning for Indonesian Idol.
