Former prime minister Scott Morrison has been torn to shreds by an Australian actor who took aim at his former position as the No.1 ticket holder at the Cronulla Sharks.

Aussie actor Brendan Cowell has claimed to have exposed former prime minister Scott Morrison over his support of the Cronulla Sharks, weeks after he rescinded his No.1 ticket holder status.

Mr Morrison wrote on social media he would remain a “passionate” Sharks supporter and it had been an honour to be top ticket holder over the last eight years. The actor claimed Mr Morrison’s Sharks fandom was all an act after recalling how the club announced he would step down as top ticket holder in 2024 before their first home match of the season.

“He did it well. He pretended very well that he was a rugby league guy. I bought it. I think he did the same thing with being a Prime Minister. I think he did a great job of convincing everyone of that as well. I don’t know which one he did better.”
