Tickets go on sale April 25 for 'Selena Vive,' a celebration of the Tejano superstar's life and music.

The San Antonio Philharmonic will pay tribute to Selena with three performances titled “¡Selena Vive!” The concerts are slated for Jan. 3-5 at the Majestic Theatre. Tickets go on sale April 25 at majesticempire.com. Isabel Marie Sanchez is the headliner. Sanchez has performed similar programs focused on the music of the late Tejano icon with orchestras across the country. She did one with Youth Orchestras of San Antonio as part of its Classic Albums Live Series in 2020.

Philharmonic names acclaimed pianist, conductor as first music director “The word got out,” she told the Express-News in an interview before the YOSA concert. “The Houston show was so amazing. People came dressed like Selena, and the people who worked there were so astonished because they had never seen people get up and dance with the symphony and sing along and different things like that. It was really beautiful. So everyone wanted that with their symphonies, too.
