Much like the weather, The City’s galleries and museums are warming up as summer approaches

Spring has sprung, and San Francisco’s art world is also heating up. From an international art fair to major new museum acquisitions and exhibitions, this season promises plenty to see in The City’s museums and galleries. Here are The Examiner’s critic’s picks for an art-filled spring.

The exhibition at SFMOMA “Creative Growth: The House That Art Built,” highlights the most robust of these partnerships, coinciding with Creative Growth’s fiftieth anniversary. SFMOMA has also commissioned artist William Scott to contribute a mural to the museum’s ongoing “Bay Area Walls” series of murals throughout the museum.
