All-Australian midfielder Errol Gulden has inked a huge four-year extension to keep him at the Sydney Swans until at least the end of 2028. After establishing himself as one of the most exciting young midfielders in the AFL, Gulden has started 2024 in terrific form, ranked No.1 in the competition for total metres gained and third across the league for inside-50s and score involvements.
He had an impressive debut season, kicking 14 goals from 18 games, claiming the Swans’ Rising Star Award, and crowned the AFLPA’s Best First Year Player. Gulden said he loves the club, and that the decision to stay put was an easy one. “I feel honoured to have the club put their faith in me for another four years,” he said. “From my time developing in the academy, to walking through the doors in 2020 as an AFL listed player, this place has always felt like home to me.
