Temu hits back at claims it misuses data after millions of Aussie shoppers warned about the online retail giant

Temu has hit back at claims it misuses data collected by shoppers. The retail site, which launched 12 months ago, has become popular for ultra-cheap household products. Owned by PDD Holdings, it was started in Shanghai but recently moved its headquarters to Ireland. On Monday, a cybersecurity expert raised the alarm about the company’s app, calling out the risk of how much data is being collected by the Chinese-owned company.
