CJ Snare, the lead singer of FireHouse, has died at the age of 64 following a lengthy battle with cancer.
His optimism shone through in his final Instagram post on March 27, where he shared nostalgic snaps of his performances, captioning the post: "Feeling Stronger Everyday! I'll be back on stage with FireHouse before you know it. Health is first so making a FULL recovery before my return."The heartbreaking announcement of his death came from his daughter Heather, who spoke to TMZ, revealing that her father succumbed to cancer, with cardiac arrest being the official cause of death.
The band's debut album, released in 1990, achieved double platinum status in the US. CJ's talents weren't limited to his dynamic vocals; he also played keyboards across all seven FireHouse albums. Jack Blades from Night Ranger expressed his grief on Twitter, saying: "Just heartsick with the news of our rock n roll brother CJ Snare's passing Many wonderful memories of NR and Firehouse playing together CJ 's sweet soul and great smile always brightened up the day no matter what was happening Blessings CJ and sing it loud in the stars my brother."
