Western Bulldogs young gun Ryley Sanders had a moment to forget during Saturday night’s AFL clash against Geelong at Adelaide Oval. Sanders impressively won a centre clearance on centre wing, but then inexplicably ran in the wrong direction.

Sanders runs the wrong way. He took two bounces and ran close about 40m before realising his error. As teammates all pointed, the 19-year-old finally turned around and kicked the ball back to pretty much where he started. “He’s going to the wrong way. The young fella is going dead set the wrong way!” James Brayshaw said in commentary. Richmond great Matthew Richardson added: “It has happened a bit over the years.
