If you think a person with a disability is evil, it is not because of a movie, it is because you're an asshole! Also, why is she evil? Lupita did not say the character is evil. The whole reason she chose that voice was because the character had a traumatic experience.

Good and evil is a moral construct the film does not actually discuss. They are simply characters who engage in violence for their own self liberation. Its largely because it's a horror movie that makes us want to over simplify into moral frameworks. Red isn't evil she's a victim
It wasn't an EVIL voice. It was a voice that sounds menacing bc of trauma from being choked. If you've seen the movie, you'd get that.
SPOILERS BELOW: If they watched the movie to the end, they would find that there's actually a reason in the plot why she speaks like a spasmodic dysphonia sufferer... Her larynx is injured as a kid. Larynx injury is a reason for that disability.
Kinda harsh criticism considering artists use inspiration that often has no direct relationship with the project they r on. If she wasn’t honest during interview then nobody complains.
