Music was blasting and cars lined both sides of a road near Watchet, SomersetPeople were left 'trapped in their homes' on Easter Sunday when hundreds of revellers attended an 'out of control' illegal rave in Exmoor.
Makeshift stages with large cutouts of cartoon rabbit faces, gazebos, and loudspeakers were set up in the middle of Exmoor National Park. One eye witness to the event, who did not want to be named, told ITV they had not seen anything like it before and they were concerned for people's safety. Avon and Somerset police told MailOnline the music was already blaring with hundreds in attendance when officers arrived 15 minutes later.
'Sound equipment was seized from the unlicensed music event near Dunkery Beacon last night and enquiries are ongoing into potential public nuisance offences. One cyclist posted some scenic photos of Exmoor national park while out on an Easter Sunday ride, but said the rave had shattered the solitude
