Jussie Smollett’s lawyer suggests attackers wore 'whiteface'

Jussie Smollett’s lawyer insists it’s “not implausible” that his attackers wore “whiteface” on the night the actor was targetted in an alleged hate crime outside his Chicago, Illinois home.

Smollett, who vehemently denied the allegations, was slapped with 16 felony charges for lying to authorities, but prosecutors stunned Chicago Police Department chiefs and Mayor Rahm Emanuel on Tuesday, when they chose to drop all counts. “He at this point again has been victimized much more by what’s happened afterwards than what happened that night.”

“You know, I think police had minimal investigation in this case, it took me all of five minutes to Google. I was looking up the brothers, and one of the videos that showed up actually was of the brothers in whiteface doing a Joker monologue with white makeup on him. So…, it’s not implausible.”
