Lizzo 'quits music' as she says 'I didn't sign up for this'

Lizzo has shocked her fans by announcing on Instagram that she's "done" with the music industry. In her post, she wrote: "I'm getting tired of putting up with being dragged by everyone in my life and on the internet."

She ended her post by saying: "My character being picked apart by people who don't know me and disrespecting my name. I didn't sign up for this s***. I quit," followed by a peace sign emoji. This comes after allegations last year that she sexually harassed her backup dancers.Her first public appearance since these claims was at the Grammy Awards last month where she presented the award for Best RandB Song to SZA.

Lizzo has denied the claims. "These sensationalized stories are coming from former employees who have already publicly admitted that they were told their behaviour on tour was inappropriate and unprofessional," Lizzo commented on the accusations, "As an artist, I have always been very passionate about what I do. I take my music and my performances seriously because, at the end of the day, I only want to put out the best art that represents me and my fans.
