Nottingham Forest’s latest accounts reveal an update on the figures involved in Brennan Johnson’s transfer to Tottenham.

The Reds sold Johnson to Spurs last summer for a fee believed to be £47.5m, with the club said to hold a 10 per cent sell-on clause as part of the record deal. Forest’s latest accounts show an agreement with a bank was reached last October to “bring forward the sales proceeds” of the Johnson transfer deal, allowing the Reds to bank £28.2m worth of future payment instalments from Tottenham and repay the bank over three years at an interest rate of 8.2%.
