Liam Neeson’s new action thriller filmed in Ireland hits US cinemas

Liam Neeson's new action thriller is hitting US cinemas this week ahead of its Netflix release in the UK and Ireland next month.

Samuel Goldwyn Films has confirmed that ‘In the Land of Saints and Sinners’ will go on general release in the US on Friday. It will also be streamed on Netflix in the UK and Ireland from April 26th. The synopsis reads “Ireland, 1970s. Eager to leave his dark past behind, Finbar Murphy leads a quiet life in the remote coastal town of Glencolmcille, far from the political violence that grips the rest of the country.

A cast and crew of around 300 people descended on the area to shoot scenes for the action adventure. A number of locals were also hired as extras for the filming, which is set to be a major economic boost for the area.
