Backstage at Miami Music Week, Brazilian DJ Mochakk caught up with Rolling Stone's The Green Room about making her sets a musical 'rollercoaster.'

ahead of his performance at Factory Town during Miami Music Week, Mochakk opened up about his music curation process ahead of gigs and his start as a DJ.. “I might come across tracks that might sound good together, ‘Maybe I’ll play these two songs together,’ but sometimes it’s totally random… You have to do a rollercoaster.”

Mochakk also discussed his upbringing, sharing that he had “the will to play instruments” early in his childhood and downloaded a mixing application on his mom’s computer by age 12. “I was developing an ear for hearing and showing things visually. It was something that came naturally when I started performing,” he said.

Mochakk has yet to officially release any new music in 2024, but dropped singles “Jealous,” “No8da” with Fernanda Oura, and a remix of Louie Vega and Anané’s “Cosmic Witch.” He’s scheduled to perform in Germany and Italy in April.
