The iconic American TV series Dallas revolutionised the soap opera genre with its gripping family drama and unforgettable characters including JR and Sue Ellen Ewing

For long-time fans, the cast of Dallas holds a special place in TV history. The iconic nighttime soap, which aired on CBS from 1978 to 1991, not only won four Emmys but also revolutionised television storytelling with its legendary cliffhangers.

Last year, Dallas celebrated its 45th anniversary with stars Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray, Charlene Tilton, Audrey Landers, Steve Kanaly, Joan Van Ark, Sheree Wilson, and Cathy Podewell reuniting to reflect on the enduring legacy of the show. Patrick Duffy, known for his role as Bobby Ewing, echoed Gray's sentiments, adding: "The way Dallas was written, its standard writing template for shows that run any period of time from a few episodes onto years. But yeah, it all started with us."
