FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Our Pet of the Week is Pitka. She is a 10-month-old Siberian Husky pup who is staying at the Fairbanks Animal Shelter as she looks for that new perfect home.
As a husky, she is a high-energy breed and is looking for an owner who is going to be able to keep her mentally and physically stimulated. While Pitka would do best in a home without cats, she did well with children and other dogs in her last home. As always, it is important to make sure that you are doing appropriate introductions with all new friends.
