Celebrity Big Brother's Fern Britton became a household name after hosting This Morning, however she was nearly associated with a very different ITV show - Britain's Got Talent. Ahead of Friday's final, CBB Late & Live revealed that Fern opened up about being on the original judging panel for Britain's Got Talent, however she was eventually replaced.
"She was actually one of the judges on the first ever Britain's Got Talent pilot. So she could have been on Britain's Got Talent," Jordan said, before adding that she was eventually replaced by journalist Piers Morgan. CBB host Will Best replied: "They're quite similar, Fern and Piers." Hosted by Ant and Dec, Britain's Got Talent began airing on ITV in 2007 - with Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan on the talent show's judging panel. Piers Morgan was replaced by comedian Michael McIntyre for one series in 2011 before Alesha Dixon and David Walliams joined the panel the following year.
Ahead of the CBB final, Fern's daughter Winnie spoke to Late & Live, revealing that she would warn her mother to 'avoid' Louis Walsh. In a filmed clip, the 22-year-old said: "I think my mum should avoid Louis just because it seems that he's always very nice to people's faces and ends up saying things behind their back. I don't want my mum to be hurt by it."
