Sananda Maitreya has said English culture has given him a lot of inspiration The 80s have been making a comeback in a big way recently with the announcement of a string of comeback shows from a number of icons. The most recent to delight fans with news of his return is singer-songwriter Sananda Maitreya, formerly known as Terence Trent D’Arby.

’ Reflecting on his decision to return to the UK, Maitreya expressed his anticipation for the event, stating, ‘I’ve invested a lot in English culture and English culture has, of course, given me a tremendous amount of inspiration. Sananda Maitreya, formerly known as Terence Trent D’Arby, is making his UK comeback this year ‘The time is right, and I am happy to return and I’m excited about bringing my music and my new songs to a live audience,’ he told Smooth Radio.
