Accused mushroom chef and alleged triple murderer Erin Patterson has been forced into a protected unit at the maximum security prison she’s being held in custody in, according to a new report. Patterson, 49, is currently being held at Melbourne’s Dame Phyllis Frost Centre, after being charged with three counts of murder and five counts of attempted murder. Patterson denies any wrongdoing.
Criminologist Xanthe Mallet speaks about accused mushroom killer, Erin Patterson. The incident occurred on July 29 last year, with the charges relating to the death of former in-laws Gail Patterson and Don Patterson, along with Gail’s sister Heather Wilkinson. Heather’s husband, Ian Wilkinson, 70, survived. Victoria Police allege the symptoms the four diners experienced were consistent with being poisoned by death cap mushrooms.
