McConaughey throws down a "tek-saz" for his beloved Longhorns, while Queen Bey opts for a more traditional "tek-sas" in her pre-release buzz for the country album "Cowboy Carter."suggests McConaughey might be onto something, with nearly a quarter of Texans siding with his "tek-saz" pronunciation. This aligns with the iconic Texan twang. But here's the twist: nationwide, only about 5% favor the "z" sound.
Interestingly, most Americans agree with Beyoncé's "tek-sas." However, this hasn't stopped the debate from igniting online.
