The presiding judge in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial has criticized one of the defence attorneys for not showing up in court. Thulani Mngomezulu, the lawyer for the first accused, was absent during the proceedings. The court is currently hearing the details of the confessions after months of determining their admissibility. Ngomezulu had requested time to familiarize himself with the evidence from the main trial.
