I am generally not into Netflix’s reality offerings, as popular as they’ve become. I’ve watched a few seasons of Love is Blind which is, of course, ridiculous but fun. I used to like The Circle a bit. But there’s only one reality series on Netflix that has really grabbed me,Physical 100 is something I find to be a rather fascinating concept, where 100 very fit people are given a series of physical challenges to discover whichof physically fit is the “best” overall.
The idea is that there are a series of challenges that test all different kinds of strength and endurance. One of the first challenges last season was simply having everyone hang on a lofted set of bars until one by one, they all fell off, with the winner getting an advantage in the next challenge. Later, players were simply tasked with controlling a heavy ball in an arena where close to anything went to get that ball away from your opponent and into your own hands when the clock ran out.
If you’re into fitness at all, it’s a fun show. If you’re not, it’s still a pretty fun show and a neat concept to see unfold. I’m looking forward to diving into season 2 right now.
