Telstra customers are reporting issues with their services across Australia. More than 1900 customers have reported issues on DownDetector, saying their calls and internet have been impacted. “Phone will allow to ring and then cut out saying call failed,” one customer reported. “Doing it on inbound and outbound calls.” Other customers reported being able to make phone calls, but no voice coming through when connected.
“We’re working on a fix and hope to get everything back up and running soon.“ Mobile data is not impacted, they said, so customers can still currently use services like Apple FaceTime, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and other data-based services. Outage listing on website Telstra has one reported an outage on its website, pointing to a “maintenance firmware update” as the cause of the issue.
