Per Netflix, Hideyuki is a retired detective, who still uses his acquired abilities to help Ryo on his high-octane adventures. Fumino Kimura, on the other hand, is set to play Metropolitan Police Department detective Saeko Nogami. Satoh will direct the live-action adaptation based on a screenplay by Tatsuro Mishima. Producers are Keisuke Sanpei and Kosuke Oshida, with Shinichi Takahashi serving as the executive producer.
