Absolutely Fabulous actress Helen Lederer is set to make her debut on Coronation Street in March as a potential love interest for Ken Barlow, with the star opening up on her soap stint

Comedian and actress Helen Lederer, known for her role in Absolutely Fabulous, is about to appear on Coronation Street.

But Helen revealed it’s her “bold” character, Elspeth, who makes the first move. She said: “Elspeth gets Debbie to send over two drinks to Ken and Steve to get Ken’s attention. While Ken is thrilled, Steve is gutted that his father-in-law has managed to hit it off with an attractive lady whilst he hasn’t met anyone. Steve continues to have a hard time as he struggles to get over Tracy Barlow’s recent affair.
