In 2011, Sam starred as Bruce Wayne, aka Batman, for the touring show Batman Live.

Outlander's Sam Heughan is known for his auburn locks in the show, and his blonde barnet in real life but unearthed snaps from early in his acting career shows the star with jet black hair.

However, before he took on the role of Jamie, Sam worked on various different shows such as A Very British Scandal, River City, Doctors and Homeland, just to name a few. Resurfaced images show the 43-year-old sporting a very different look by swapping his blonde locks for a jet black do, especially dyed for the superhero production.

Fallon questioned if he would ever love to return to the role for a movie and Heughan seemed thrilled at the idea before showing off his deep “Batman voice”.
