Peter Kelly, described as a 'great man of Scottish theatre', has died with tributes flooding in for the actor. He has been remembered by theatres across the city for his work.

National Theatre of Scotland took to social media to pay tribute to Peter Kelly, describing him as a 'great man of Scottish theatre'.

He has also been remembered by King's Theatre where he performed in an Aladdin production, back in 2006.READ MORE: Man dies in Lanarkshire car crash after 'losing control' and hitting tree They wrote: "Everyone at The King's Theatre is saddened to hear of the passing of Peter Kelly. A legend of Scottish theatre for nearly 70 years, Peter starred in our 2006 panto production of Aladdin.NTS added: "We are so sad to hear about the passing of Peter Kelly. A great man of Scottish theatre.

"He performed Edwin Morgan's Strawberries, for us in 2020, directed by Lewis Hetherington. Our thoughts are with all those who loved him."Taking to social media, one person said: "Sad news - he was an energy." Another added: "Really sad to hear this. Peter was always such a gentleman and a great supporter of the King's."
