Noah Was Fairly Divisive Upon Its Original Release Since he made his debut in 1998 with the highly-rated conceptual psychological thriller Pi, much of Darren Aronofsky’s filmography has generally been provocative and polarizing and Noah wasn’t any different. Even though the biblical drama was well received by most critics, who praised the movie’s sweeping visuals and particularly the cast’s excellent performances, audiences gave the movie a less favorable review.
