According to Variety, Nolan's next movie may be a remake of the British 1960s mystery show, The Prisoner, which was created by and starred Patrick McGoohan. Since Nolan has yet to start writing the screenplay, there are no details about what his remake might entail, including the plot or cast.
The Prisoner is available to stream for free on many services, including Freevee, Plex, Pluto TV, The Roku Channel, and Tubi. Another major question surrounding Nolan's next movie is what studio he will partner with. For most of his career, Nolan made movies with Warner Bros., but after his public falling out with the studio over its day-and-date release strategy on HBO Max during the pandemic, the director took his talents to Universal for Oppenheimer, and Warner Bros. responded by counterprogramming with Barbie.
