In the end, Robby Snelling, Dylan Lesko, Adam Mazur and Ryan Bergert survived an important crash course lesson in the business of baseball. They were still Padres.

Merrill will no longer play in the prospect game as he’s expected to be in the opening day lineup in South Korea. Infielder Graham Pauley, No. 8 in the Padres’ top-30 list, is also off the board.
