The Walker Brothers star Scott Walker has died

The death of the enigmatic singer, who first found fame as one half of the Walker Brothers in the 1960s, was confirmed by his record label 4AD.

Artists such as David Bowie, Pulp and Radiohead cited the singer, famed for his deep baritone voice, as an influence. “Scott was 76 years old and is survived by his daughter, Lee, his granddaughter, Emmi-Lee, and his partner Beverly.
