A Rebel Sport store in Adelaide’s CBD was forced to close for the day after a worker was allegedly bashed by a teenage shoplifter. Emergency services were called to the Rundle Mall store after a staff member was allegedly assaulted by a teenager who was not known to her just before midday on Monday.
Teen shoplifter accused of bashing Adelaide retail worker. The alleged assailant, a 15-year-old Hackham West girl, fled the scene but was located and arrested by police on nearby Grenfell St. “In her possession, police allegedly located cosmetics and jewellery that is suspected of having been stolen,” police said. “She was arrested and has been charged with aggravated assault cause harm and unlawful possession.” She was refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Youth Court on Tuesday.
