Not everyone has access to HBO, Netflix, etc. so why would they watch the Emmys when they don’t watch these shows? Was different in the past when NBC, CBS and ABC shows were the nominated ones.
I don’t like the fact that only a few network/cable shows didn’t get nominated. There are a lot of us who don’t subscribe to HBO or Netflix. I watched the beginning, didn’t recognize most of the nominees so I stopped watching.

It was a bad show. The SNL folks are fine on Saturdays for the first 30 minutes and then they run out of material. That hasn't changed in their entire run. Now you take an ensemble that can't do 60 minutes and hand them three hours ... results were predictable.
