Chas actress Lucy Pargeter admitted to "welling up" over the scenes. The actress said: "It is always daunting when someone trusts you with a storyline like this. I did feel a huge responsibility and all I hoped was that I could do it well. I have found myself welling up filming the scenes. The writers have done a tremendous amount of research on the subject which they have shared with me.
She said: "I'll stay as long as they'll have me." She told MyWeekly magazine: "I don't think I will ever make the decision to leave myself. They'll have to write me out, but even then they'd have to drag me out kicking and screaming! I've got a job that I love and I'll stay as long as they'll have me."
