The YellowHammer Film Festival, coming into its fourth season, is adding a new opportunity for students to have their work seen by the masses and judged by industry professionals during the inaugural YellowHammer 48-Hour Film Race.
The newest YellowHammer event came to fruition after Stagl and new festival Co-Director Nathan Hobbs sat down to discuss how to keep people’s attention on the festival during the time between the festival’s end and when submissions open the next summer. One idea kept floating to the top: “Let’s just have fun.”
People are also reading… in the event. Teams will be given a character name, prop and line of dialogue to ensure the film meets the weekend’s criteria. Films can only be up to four minutes long.
