Aussie couple Tia and Jordy were living what they considered a “regular” life — before one day deciding to sell their possessions and hit the road in a lovingly restored Kombi. Jordy had worked in real estate and Tia was an assistant wedding photographer and barista before they took the plunge to embrace their “fantasy” van life.
look inside what it’s like living out of a Kombi van. “The idea of travelling in a Kombi van started as a fantasy for us,” says 27-year-old Tia, who caught the travel bug at 18 after backpacking solo overseas. “At the time, we were living in a nice apartment with our dog, Zenna. “Our life was sweet and simple in Perth.” Jordy, 38, told 7Life everything changed in 2018 when they bought a 1975 Kombi, which they named Stella.
